A well-planned shoot, shaped around your school
We take care of the planning with your team, so the photography, film, drone footage or virtual tour fits naturally into the school day.
1. Start with what you need
We discuss what you’re looking to create, what you already have and what’s missing. That might be new admissions photography, a school film, aerial views or a virtual tour. We agree the key content before planning the day.
2. Plan the moments and timetable
Together, we choose the lessons, activities, people and places to include. We then build a realistic schedule around the school day, with time to move between locations and space for the day to change.
Most of the shoot is planned around real school life. We leave some buffer time for particular shots that need arranging, such as a group activity, staff portrait or a facility in use. For a virtual tour, we plan the route and when each space can be captured.
3. Take care of the details beforehand
We check photography permissions and any no-photo requirements with your school contact before the shoot, so everyone knows what can be captured.
If you’d like drone footage, we check the location early and find out what permissions or coordination are needed. We handle the paperwork and contact the relevant authorities, then keep you informed as arrangements progress. We only plan to fly once the necessary arrangements are confirmed.
4. Capture the day
On the day, we follow the plan while staying flexible. We focus on genuine lessons, activities and interactions, with light direction where a particular shot needs it. We make use of the buffer time to capture anything important that hasn’t happened naturally.
5. Prepare everything for use
We edit the agreed photographs and film, complete the virtual tour if included, and prepare the final content for the uses we discussed, such as your website, prospectus, admissions activity and social media.
